Going back in time - Paris Day Five

Actually, not exactly Paris as day 5 was spent almost entirely travelling to n fro Mont Saint Michel. Its located at the north eastern part of France around the Normandy region. One of the wonders of Europe it was said to be and indeed it is still. The journey from Paris to Mont St Michel took us more than 4 freaking hours but luckily the bus ride was rather comfortable..BETTER THAN THE LOUSY THAI AIRWAYS. As you get nearer to the place, the little 'mont' slowly emerges from the horizon. As it gets bigger and clearer, it just got more exciting. When you finally got to see it right before your eyes, it was really overwhelming. The trip was expensive ($95 EUROS...go do your own math)..without lunch k...but I thought it was quite worth it since you don't get to see this kinda wierdo hanging around anywhere else in the world. A must go in France I should say. The journey there was not too bad as well as some of the sceneries were quite amazing. Some of the photos of this place had been posted before already, here's the rest of the pics.

This is how the place looks like from satellite images.

and how it looks like right smack onto your face :P see the seagull?

These pictures are really too good to be true cos the place is never this peaceful and serene...the REAL thing looks like whats below.. hoho

Crowded and chaotic....LIKE XIAO

loads of stairs to climb..

more stairs.....

and more stairs...:S

From the pictures, it's apparent that as you go higher..there are less people climbing the stairs...totally shag out...nah..kidding...just so happened that I took these sequence of photos ..haha.. there's freaking alot of people there at almost every spot I tell you...even the toilet's crazily crowded...

and what we've been climbing for. The monastry at the tip of the little mountain was actually not so impressive..especially after visiting cathedrals like Notre-Dame. But the views up there was really quite breathtaking. Here's a few..

just look at the crazy number of coaches and cars...:S

a parting shot...heh

both arrival and departure took just as long....:S

Some pictures taken on the bus along the journey.

After all the pictures taken..THIS has got to be the shot of the day...just check out the dude's erm...piece of thing ...wouldn't even call it a stomach...its like some overflowing meat or something...What did they feed themselves with...:P One more day to follow..and I can start posting pictures from Sweden..haha

11th pic the highlights blown in the mid area of the photo (not counting the google image 11th btw)

i think you shot RAW right lower the exposure on the mid part then maybe that one nicer. then the contrast also a bit high leh give a glaring feel like very hot like that. not sure if you wanted that effect

and as again the photos have your signature warm yellowish cast that is so indicative of you. like the flower shot the best.

P.S (can see youve really used the 10mm focal length a lot :p )

P.S.S (try setting your WB to daylight minus 2 stops might help with the WB)
