LOST Season 2

For all those 'LOST' fans out there, yes...season 2's out! Well...it can be found in the usual sources, can always ask me and I'll guide you to getting it. :P Anyway, long time since I last posted. Really busy and even though there was a one week break. Had to stay home water the plants and take care of my kitty cos my parents went to Korea for holidays....damn...wish I could go. Well, school starts again and the site for P2 so happened to be at Katong Park. Good for me cos i take 10 minutes just to reach there from home. Once again....INTERPRETIVE CENTRE. What's new rite. It's always pavilions, artist's centre, interpretive centres and interpretive centres.... talk about creativity. Think the tutors in aki needs it more than the students do.

Anyway, kinda got glued to this Japanese drama showing on channel U lately. Its called 'PRIDE'. I'm sure most of you have heard about it. So what's so interesting about this show. Well, briefly its about this guy and gal whom they actually played this 'temporary couple' game while the gal waits for his long lost boyfriend to come back and marry her. Sounds corny and old fashion ay? But the setting is actually quite modern with the lead actor being an ice hockey player. Other than the interesting story line, there is always the packaging factor that draws the viewer, and what else can be better than having Yuko Takeuchi as the lead actress. My she's pretty. Seriously, she's coming quite close to my dream gal :P Here's a portrait of her i drew few years back. Not very flattering on how she look so i added another pic of her to let you guys check her out. Hmmz..maybe I should find time to start my portrait drawing again....IF only there's such luxury of time available. By the way, the theme song by Queens, ' I was born to love you' rocks too. Do check out the show if you have the time. 7.30pm every Monday and Tuesday on Channel U. bleah...I sound like some TV guide suddenly..k...8 o'clock lecture coming up next...time to hit the bed

end of the horrendous project....

yes...our dear invisible toilet project will be officially an issue of the past by tomorrow this time, that is after our crit for P1. Well, never had i struggle so badly to finish a project since the days of UM.. :P Lets hope this shall be the last time I'll ever be involved in late submission. By the way, here's a rendered picture of our project...which took me a painstakingly 8 hours long worth of rendering time...

Anyway, when most of my studio mates were enjoying themselves at walas the very night we submitted our P1, I was still bugged by the ever boring, useless, time consuming, cap affecting, dumb and stupid module call HR3003..whatever... We were supposed to hand in this 3000 words essay coupled with a 20 minutes long mini lecture to be presented during today's tutorial. It really sucked big time. I finally gave in and knocked out this morning and concussed for around 3 hours before i woke up to realise that there's still quite a bit of the presentation to be prepared before we go out there to land the biggest smoke bomb of the year. 3 hours of torturous boring crap... and a tutor whom looked..erm...have a look urself....juz right below...

Yes...that's my HR tutor....and doesn't she reminds you of Edna from 'The incredibles'? Isn't it incredible? :P This really strengthen my belief that certain characters are not entirely fictional. The creator must have seen them somewhere somehow and...WALA...the producers of 'The incredibles' must have attended HR classes in NUS!! I feel a little bad posting this pic 'cos she's really quite an understanding tutor who had been trying her best to blend into our generation though...erm...it didn't turn out very well. But I couldn't bring myself not to show this to everyone~ :P k...so much for after almost a week without any post. Holiday's round the corner, time to slow the pace a little and take a deep breadth and ready myself for the coming P2. K, need to sleep...having a throbbing headache at the moment...aftermath from those uncountable sleepless nitez... ZZzzz.z.....

the human torch...human hand torch to be exact

ok...I'm freaking shag out now but then...I'm still awake at this freaking hour...3:13am to be exact...hmms...interesting numbers again. Well, this goes out to KX as he seemed to be pretty much affected by the 11:11 syndrome I've mentioned yesterday. Guess what? I've witnessed for myself the legendary human torch today right in our BU lab this morning!!

Life sucked as usual today as I've to drag myself to SDE at 9:30...ok..I was late...10:15am .. to do the wind tunnel test with KX. We had a hard time setting up the smoke the previous round. So today, KX came out with a little cardboard box to confine and direct the smoke and it worked~!! The smoke was stronger and in fact, getting stronger by the minute as we carried out the test. Even the dear Lab uncle was amazed by the amount of smoke we managed to create UNTIL.... ' hey, ur styrofoam's melting and I think your box is on fire~' came out from him that we realised ... OMG...THE WHOLE BOX'S ON FIRE!! The 1st thing KX did was valiantly grabbed the box out and WALA....the WHOLE BOX was totally consumed by the flame, and along with KX's hand some where in between. Yes...that's what the human torch thingy was all about. Kaoz.... KX was literally HOLDING RED HOT FLAMING FIRE IN HIS HAND! Surprisingly, KX got off without a scratch. Not so sure about a burnt though.

Anyway, if it wasn't for the Lab uncle who noticed the burning box...we'd probably will be missing a building or 2 from SDE. Come to think of it now...DAMN...we should have just let that happen... BURN DOWN SDE...LET THEM BURN IN HELL... :P

Oh yes, we've kinda squeezed out the invisible toilet thingy and cross our fingers...IT BETTER WORKS!

numbers of the day --- 11:11

Wonder how long this novelty of bloggin' is going to last for me. Anyway, nothing much interesting about my current state of existence 'cos I'm staying alive only because I've to do design. Something a little new today though. Me and Kexiang actually attempted to carry out this little test on what I'm too lazy to explain....well my 1st pic here right above...yes Johnny, I'M POSTING MY PICTURE LEH~! :P Anyway, we tried our luck with the wind tunnel test today but it didn't turn out well, so another session of 'trying our luck on the wind tunnel test machine' has been scheduled later at 0930hrs....and I'm bloggin now.

K.. before I start feeling guilty and stop this nonsense, do check out these four numbers. -->11:11 I've been seeing this number over and over again for almost...4-5years I think. There's actually a spooky explanation to this. For those who have been experiencing this, search google and you'll be able to find out what its about. Its kinda ...erm...you'll know what I mean after doing the search...:P

and so there was the toilet.....

How many variations are there to designing a toilet? Thousands some might say.
How many variations are there to designing an INVISIBLE toilet....? God knows....

Well...and so there was the toilet...the toilet problem me and my group mates have encountered after our not so swift encounter with the ex-president of SIA during our design studio today...my oh my is he a king of the smoke~!! Apparently, he never realised that there was a certain gap between the so-call level of intellect between a student and a practitioner. Now we are stuck thanks to his comments on how exciting our design can be, IF we ever get what he proposed done..... so who's in for the exhibitionists' style washroom? OPEN FOR ALL TO SEE...bleah....thank god he's not any of our crit...

my first post~~

Kinda wierd, but after watching this Japanese Movie titled, ' Crying out Love, in the centre of the world', it makes some sense for me to find a place to leave part of my thoughts and memory so that one day, I can look back and reminiscence the feelings of yesteryears. Its really quite a well thought out script and somehow echoes to the world that, memories are all that's left when one leaves this world.

Another captivating line from the movie was from this 'Uncle Shige', when he actually told the heartbroken Saku that heaven was a place created by the living in order to give them the slightest hope of reuniting with their past away loved ones when its their turn to go there.

Photography also played a major role in the show. Time freezes each time a picture is taken. Moments that will never be repeated again can only be preserved by this marvelous invention call photos. Perhaps its time for me to find more time taking pictures than wasting my brain cells thinking of reasons to 'smoke' for design.... i don't wish for time to stall, but at least more time for me to take a step back and grab hold of my life...bleah...
