Copenhagen

Yes, I've been there way before I ever reached Sweden, but I only managed to visit this land of the Carlsberg after like more than 2 months in the Scandinavian region. How's Copenhagen? Well..anywhere's more interesting than Lund...so..its good. A little rush though as its a trip over the weekend, with a little drama during the trip though. One of our fellow Singaporean from SMU actually sprained her ankle during the 1st day of the trip. She spent the rest of the 1st day sms-ing and playing her PSP, quite unfortunate I should say. Also, we had a little self proclamation from Juliana about her origins...tsk tsk :P Anyway, here's the pics...

A shot of the Central Station in Copenhagen. check out the fleet of Mercedez Cabs. They are ALL Mercedez.

A mega square near the station with street performers and some bistros. What makes Copenhagen more interesting has got to be the people and their performances. It adds alot of life to the streets and create crowds. Here's a couple of shots of the street performers and some other shots of people in Copenhagen.

This guy's really pro with his Guitar and sings some really catchy tunes which really liven up the area. Most performers sell their CDs as well, but its like 100DKK each...rather steep.

cool tribal musician ay.. :P

The change of guards

These 2 cuties were totally oblivous to the crowd watching the change of guards behind them. They were 'fighting' among themselves and later...they hugged and kissed...aww...

One of the clocktowers you've seen from the picture of the square.

The theme park in Copenhagen. Looks really ancient. Same goes for the games you find in there...

here's how one of the buildings within Tivoli looks at night. Not too bad actually. But entrance fee was a whopping 75DKK...thats around 20 odd singdollars...and it doesn't include any rides....:S

One of the palaces in Copenhagen

another one.. and it was here, that Juliana found something close to her heart.

a miniature of her home planet of Mars...she's overwhelmed with anxiety..:P

and her spacecraft..a perfect fit! hoho, no offense but all these made the trip a little bit more interesting of course. :P

Yanling and her 'bai-ka'

A simple little museum's side facade we came across.

A nice little cathedral and a wedding in procession.

and of course, Copenhagen's symbolic little mermaid..well...

those who were there..!

The trip was a little short and rush but it was enough for me to want to visit it again. Their Museums are free on Wednesday so..hmmz..I shall search for the 'free' Wednesday of mine and check out Copenhagen again. As for now, this is about all that I have for Denmark. Germany up next...need time to process the pictures...hoho..REICHSTAG my dear aki friends...yes..another pilgrimage completed. :P
